两会见“雯”｜两会到底是什么会？” Let's Go! What Exactly Are the Two Sessions?

 

十四届全国人大三次会议、全国政协十四届三次会议将分别于3月5日、3月4日在北京开幕。3月3日，贵州全国人大代表和住黔政协委员启程前往北京，参加一年一度的全国两会。

The third session of the 14th National People's Congress and the third session of the 14th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference are scheduled to open in Beijing on March 5th and March 4th, respectively. On March 3rd, NPC deputies and CPPCC members from Guizhou  are setting off for Beijing to attend the annual Two Sessions.

全国两会是指全国人民代表大会以及中国人民政治协商会议。今年是“十四五”规划收官之年，也是进一步全面深化改革的重要一年，全国人大代表、全国政协委员，济济一堂，共商国是、参政议政，把14亿多中国人民所思所盼，不断融入党和国家发展顶层设计。可以说，全国两会是集中反映和深入践行中国全过程人民民主的重要平台。

The “Two Sessions” refers to the National People’s Congress and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. 2025 marks the conclusion of the 14th Five-Year Plan and is a pivotal year for further comprehensively deepening reforms. Deputies to the NPC and members of the CPPCC gather to deliberate on state affairs and participate in the governance of the country, integrating the aspirations and needs of over 1.4 billion Chinese people into the top-level design of the Party and national development. It can be said that the Two Sessions are a crucial platform that embodies and practices the whole-process people's democracy in China.
